Unprecedented

Unprecedented is the common word now; it seems like every news network is saying it. A lot is going on in the world, and if you are a news follower, it is one bad news after another. Stories like Austrailia burning to the point people had to hide on the beach to protect themself from the flames. A plague of locusts affecting Africa and all the way to China and expected to get worse. Conflict in the middle east that can bring about WWIII and now COVID-19, a pestilence that threatens to end the world as we know it. These are times never seen before by human eyes. A domino effect of terrible events that is nothing short of unprecedented in a biblical proportion.

The way I see this.
The Human race is facing a crisis, that God is allowing the world to go through in order for us to turn back to him. Every country in the world is affected by what’s going on in this early months of 2020. I could not stop to think that the world is coming to an end and all for the sinful nature of humanity. Not only..But also, my wife sent me a screenshot of a passage in the bible that she was reading that I think would be appropriate to include in here because it suits so well with what is happening. Take a look at this…

Passage in the bible that describes what is happening in the world

It is hard not to see the correlation between what is going on in the world.
We can take every statement in the highlighted area of that picture and associate with a global event like; Australia in flames ” When I shut up heaven, and there is no rain”, Locust Plague Sweeping Saudia Arabia, east Africa to Asia “or command the locusts to devour the land” Covid-19 pandemic “or send pestilence among my people.”

God is calling our attention the same way he has done it in the past. And yet the evangelical community is silent. You would think that on days like this where the world is in such chaos the evangelical church would be more potent in their preaching of the end times, but instead, we can hear a pin drop.

The world in a halt
In 1951 a sci-fi Movie was released by director Robert Wise titled “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and then a remaking of the film in 2005 by 20th Century Fox. It depicts an alien visitor and his giant robot counterpart who visits Earth. Some may say something similar is happening in 2020 in real life, except for the UFO and the robot part of course. But indeed the whole Earth is halting and there are fewer and fewer vehicles on the road and the skies are clear of airplay traffic. Most businesses around the world are not operating, and people are choosing to stay at home over exposing themselves to contamination of Covid-19.

Economy

Stock Markets around the world are crashing continuously week after week and fears that the world economy will collapse, affecting people’s savings and retirements. Major companies are day after day reporting billions of dollars in losses, unthinkable two months ago.

I’ve known a day of reckoning was coming. But always under the umbrella of; “Someday, in the future,” but being here is a lot different. I know some people will say this has happened in the past and compare it to the Spanish flu, SARS, and other pandemics. But I want to add, what is different about this pandemic? This one is Global, unlike past epidemics, limited to a particular region of the world. And none have threatened the global economy. I am not saying Global as only Europe, North America, and Russia like in the past; I am referring to the whole planet.

I Want to conclude with a Vision of the near future.

What do I see in the future?
I am not going to present that things will get better but rather quite the contrary. I also see a big earthquake coming to the northwest coast of the USA close to Canada in the immediate future. I believe this earthquake is the six seal mentioned in the book of Revelation that will lead to the Rapture of the church. But it will not end there. Things are going to continue spiraling out of control so much so that the world will look for someone to fix the problems and save them. But this so called savior of the world will only bring more destruction as Hitler did in 1939.

But endure to the end so you may be found worthy of heaven.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith in Jesus.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. (Revelation 14: 12-13)
